Dr. Carter is a native Atlantan. He earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Davidson College and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Meg, live in North Buckhead with their three sons, Davis, Grant, and Aleck along with their two dogs, Bodhi and Finn. Dr. Carter is a member of the Pankey Institute, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, the Hinman Dental Society, the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice and the International College of Dentists. He believes very strongly in his commitment to continuing education and as a result, has studied and continues to study with such organizations as the Pankey Institute, the Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry, and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is the former President of the Atlanta Dental Study Group and currently leads The Pankey Learning Group for a select group of local colleagues. He also serves as visiting faculty and a member of the advisory board for the Pankey Institute. (www.pankey.org)
In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, offshore fishing, and tackling home improvement projects. He has been a volunteer baseball coach for over 14 years and served as a league director at The Northside Youth Organization (NYO). He is also a lifetime Atlanta Braves fan!
MEET MEG CARTER
Meg serves as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator. She was born and raised in Columbia, Maryland. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. Her greatest accomplishment is being the mother of her three sons. She is also a huge dog lover and enjoys hanging out with her two 100lb yellow labs who think they are lap dogs.
Her favorite aspect of working in dentistry is cultivating relationships with our patients and learning about their lives outside of our practice. Together, she and Dr. Carter manage every aspect of their privately owned dental practice which enables them to provide their patients with the most personal and individualized care.
